The Lancaster Hotel is easy to reach both by car and by public transport. The hotel is only a 15-minute walk from the vibrant Rembrandtplein, and the Artis Zoo tram stop is just 200 metres from our front door.
Unfortunately, we do not have our own parking spaces. As a guest of The Lancaster Hotel Amsterdam and subject to availability, you can park your car at ARTIS (right across the street) for only €22,50 a day. Use this link to make a reservation and payment for a parking spot at ARTIS. If spots are still available, you can book up to at least 15 minutes in advance.
Oops, a bit too late with making a reservation? As a guest of our hotel you can also easily park your car at Q-Park Waterlooplein, only 12 minutes walking from our hotel, against the special parking rate of €25 per day. Here you can make your reservation.
Another option is valet parking. Your car will be parked in a safe and dry place and will be returned to you on an appointed time for €35 per 24 hours. You could also park your car in the streets surrounding the hotel at a rate of €56 per day (parking charges apply Monday to Saturday between 09:00 and 00:00, and Sunday between 12:00 and 00:00).
If you don’t need your car during your stay, we would recommend that you park at one of the P+R facilities on the outskirts of the city, which only charge € 1 per day.
From Amsterdam Central Station, Tram 14 will take you straight to the hotel; simply hop off at the Artis stop. You’ll find the hotel just 200 metres to your left.
Leave Ring A10 at exit S112, continue for 4.5 km, and then keep left towards the city centre. Follow the road for 2 km, and take the first exit at the roundabout towards Wibautstraat. Keep going for 1.6 km and turn right onto Mauritskade. Turn left at the traffic lights and keep straight onto Plantage Middenlaan. You’ll find the hotel on your left after 200 metres.
Taxi from Schiphol Airport
A taxi from Schiphol to the hotel will cost around € 45.
You can also use the Connexxion Hotel Shuttle. Between 06:00 and 20:00, buses run every 30 minutes. Tickets for the shuttle can be purchased from the Connexxion desk next to the Schiphol arrivals hall, or via the Connexxion website. Return tickets cost around € 27 per person.
