Lovely hotel and even better staff 😍

We recently stayed here on a family trip with out two young children. The family room was lovely and quiet. Away from the noise but with the convenience of being easily accessible in to the busier areas through the day with the nearby tram stops. One of our children became unwell on our visit and the staff were most helpful helping us to translate the se care medication guidance which was in Dutch which we were unfamiliar with. They were kind and helpful at all times. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

What a wonderful find

The Lancaster is a wonderfull find close to a number of restaurants/cafes and bars. Easy walking distance to the city centre or catch a tram. Friendly staff and excellent selection for breakfast. Easy check in and out Umbrellas available in reception

Comfortable no frills stay close to amenities

Booked this hotel as part of a package with a flight with easyJet. Good value place, good location near Artis tram station, opposite zoo and nearby cafes. Self check in service was straightforward with people on hand to help. Had to pay city tax which I didn’t know about so check this before coming. Quadruple room was fairly basic and compact but suited our needs. Decor could do with updating. We had a fridge and safe in our room, hanging and storage space, kettle and coffee machine but no mugs and spoons only paper cups and wooden stirrers, toiletries were only the shower gel and hand soap attached to wall. Shower was powerful but very slow draining, so you can’t spend time having a long relaxing shower. Room was quite cold at times. Bar downstairs was nice but limited selection of drinks. Would recommend this hotel if you’re on a budget as location is very good, but if you can afford elsewhere I probably would have preferred somewhere else.

Couple from Finland

We stayed at the hotel four nigths. Room was quiet and clean and comfortable. Fridge was very nice bonus! We enjoyed! To us it was important that the tram stop was nearby. This area was peaceful and there was nice café’s and restaurants nearby!

Perfect location but not worth the money

The location is perfect and really close to the city center. But the room was really small and not the cleanest. Very expensive not worth the money since is rated as a 4 start the staff is very friendly and helpful
